Research activities of the Safety Research & Consultancy Group (SRCG) are primarily workplace-based, which involve, for example, evaluation of safety management systems, development of job safety analysis methods, risk/hazards assessment, development of 'Good Safety Practices', safety performance improvement (SPI), and other technology-based OSH initiatives.

 

Since 1996, the Industrial Centre has organized in collaboration with University of Western Sydney on the first Postgraduate Scheme in Occupational Safety & Health (POSH) leading to the awards of Master of Applied Science in Safety Management and Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety. Up to now, more than 200 master degree research projects have been recorded.
